The Bauhaus movement officially ended in Germany in 1933 due to immense political pressure from the National Socialists. After being deemed too progressive, the Bauhaus first moved from Dessau to Berlin in 1932 and finally decided to dissolve the school on July 20, 1933. However, after the emigration of many members, for example, Walter Gropius to the USA, the Bauhaus idea continued to have an international impact even after 1933.

Among the most famous Bauhaus artists at Dekoora are the art prints by Hilma Af Klimt, Theo van Doesburg, Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandinsky, László Moholy Nagy, El Lissitzky, and Kazimir Malevich. Their works, with their geometric forms, perfectly complement a Bauhaus-style interior.

Typical Bauhaus patterns and design elements are based on geometric clarity, functionality, and minimalism. Circles, squares, triangles, as well as straight lines and cubist forms are dominant. The color palette of original Bauhaus pictures is often limited to primary colors (red, yellow, blue) as well as black, white, and gray. The industrial aesthetic in furniture is also evident in elements such as tubular steel (e.g., in cantilever chairs), glass surfaces, and concrete, from which it exudes a subtle elegance.
