The Japanese woodblock print technique, also known as "Ukiyo-e," is a traditional art form in which images are reproduced by carving wooden blocks and then printing them onto paper. In this ancient printing process, the design is first fixed to a wooden block, where a craftsman carves lines along the outline of the motif into the wood.
